LADY MONARCHS HOST CROSS-TOWN RIVAL WILKES IN FREEDOM CONFERENCE FINALE; KING'S LOCKED IN FOUR-WAY TIE FOR FIRST PLACE
WILKES-BARRE – After clinching a playoff berth with a home win against Misericordia University on Tuesday, the King's College women's basketball team will look to improve their seeding for next week's conference tournament when the Lady Monarchs welcome cross-town rival Wilkes University to Scandlon Gymnasium Saturday in their regular season finale. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

King's enters their regular season finale with a 15-9 overall mark, 9-4 in conference games following a 52-48 comeback win against Misericordia on Tuesday. The Lady Monarchs are locked in a four-way tie for first place with Misericordia, DeSales, and Manhattanville. Sophomore guard Celia Rader leads the Lady Monarch offensive attack averaging 13.5 points (8th in Freedom) and 3.0 rebounds, shooting 37.8 percent (59-156) from long range. Junior forward Paige Carlin follows with 10.5 points and 4.8 rebounds. Sophomore guard Katlin Michaels adds 9.5 points and 4.9 rebounds, posting a team-high 17 points in the win against the Cougars. Sophomore guard Lindsay Atchison contributes 7.5 points and a team-high 6.3 rebounds. King's averages 65.5 points per-game, while yielding 63.0 points each contest.
Wilkes enters their final conference tilt with a 6-18 overall record, standing 2-11 in Freedom play after suffering an 83-51 defeat at DeSales on Tuesday. Senior guard Sam Lynam tops the squad averaging 19.8 points (2nd in Freedom) and 5.5 rebounds while canning 45 three-pointers. Lynam went over the 1,000-point plateau for her career in a win against Delaware Valley last weekend. Sophomore backcourt mate Megan Kazmerski follows with 11.7 points and 7.2 rebounds, while junior guard Whitney Connolly adds 10.3 points and 5.5 rebounds. The Lady Colonels average 59.2 points per-game, while allowing 72.2 points each tilt.
King's posted an 89-72 win over Wilkes in the Marts Center on January 15th in the teams' first meeting this season.

If Misericordia beats Manhattanville and King's and DeSales both win.
• Misericordia earns the #1 seed by virtue of its sweep of Manhattanville.
• DeSales would be #2 because of its +7 in point differential in the series vs. King's.
• King's then would be #3 and Manhattanville #4
If Manhattanville beats Misericordia and King's and DeSales both win.
• Manhattanville would get the #1 seed by virtue of its +13 in point differential. DeSales was a +3 and King's a -16.
• DeSales earns the #2 spot for its +7 over King's in that series.
• King's is #3 and Misericordia would be #4.
Other scenarios include:
• Miseri win and a DeSales loss: #1 Miseri, #2 King's, #3 DeSales, #4 Manhattanville.
(DeSales gets #3 because of 1-1 record vs. Miseri while M'Ville would 0-2 vs. Miseri)
