KING'S BASEBALL RALLIES PAST MT. ALOYSIOUS, 5-4
ORLANDO – The King's College baseball team rallied from a 4-1 deficit to post a 5-4 victory over Mt. Aloysious College Tuesday in Orlando, Fla. With the win, the Monarchs improved to 2-4 on the year.
The Monarchs began to rally in the sixth inning when Tim Marchetti was hot by a pitch and Anthony Re singled. Mike Fignar delivered an RBI single before Chris Sweeney stroked a two-run double to cut the score to 4-3. The Monarchs tied the score when Brian Mikus plated Sweeney with a single.
The Monarchs scored what proved to be the winning run in the seventh inning when Rob Lemoncelli and Marchetti singled. After an infield out by Re advanced Lemoncelli to third and a wild pitch moved Marchetti to second, Fignar walked to load the bases with one out. From there, a passed ball would allow Lemoncelli to score the deciding run.
