King's Volleyball Falls to Bridgewater, Penn State Behrend on Final Day of Carnegie Mellon Crossover

KING'S VOLLEYBALL LOSES TWO AT CARNEGIE MELLON ON SATURDAY
 
PITTSBURGH – The King's College women's volleyball team dropped its final two matches during the second day of the Carnegie Mellon Crossover Tournament Saturday in Pittsburgh.

King's lost both matches by 3-0 scores to Bridgewater (Va.) College and Penn State Behrend. King's fell to Bridgewater by scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-20, while losing to PSU-Behrend 25-20, 25-11, 25-17. With the losses, King's is now 2-8 on the year.

Against Bridgewater, Heather Bowman had six kills, Lauren Rockhold followed with five while Emily Heimbecker added four. Amanda Horton posted 15 assists, Jillian Foster and Bowman both had 14 digs.

In the match with Penn State Behrend, Bowman tallied seven kills while Rockhold followed with six. Horton dished out 12 assists while Foster and Bowman had 13 and 12 digs respectively.
 
The Lady Monarchs return to action Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. Freedom Conference matchup against Wilkes University at home in Scandlon Gymnasium.
