KING'S WRESTLERS DROP PAIR AT BUD WHITEHILL DUALS

WILLIAMSPORT -- The King's College wrestilng team dropped both matches on the first day of the Bud Whitehill Division III Duals Friday at Lycoming College. King's fell to 18th ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater by a 38-6 count in its first match before dropping a 31-15 decision to Theil in its second contest.

Against Wisconsin-Whitewater, Chris Mazzocchi picked up King's first win at 149 with a 4-2 decision over Brian Lewis. Shane Stark added the Monarchs' final victory with a 8-6 verdict at 174. King's all-American Mike Reilly, ranked fourth nationally in Division III was a 5-1 loser to Brendan Dwyer at 184.

In the match with Theil, Aaron Perez was a winner at 125-pounds with a first-period pin. Stark followed with a 5-3 win at 174 while Ahmed Burton tallied a 4-3 decision at 184. Peter Dwyer closed out the match with a 2-0 decision at heavyweight.

King's continues wrestling Saturday with a 10:30 a.m. matchup against host Lycoming.
