KING'S GRAPPLERS FALL TO LYCOMING IN BUDD WHITEHILL DUALS FINALE

WILLIAMSPORT — An undermanned King's College wrestling team fell to host Lycoming College 22-15 in its final match of the two-day Budd Whitehill Division III Duals concluding Saturday in Williamsport. 

King's wrestled without all-American Mike Reilly at 184-pounds and were forced to forfeit at 197. With the Monarchs leading trailing 13-12 after Shane Stark posted a 9-5 decision at 174, the Warriors took advantage. Tyler Cunningham posted a 8-4 decision at 184 before Lycoming received six points at 197 to seal the victory.

For King's, Mike Laporta posted a pin at 141 while Chris Mazzocchi tallied a 6-3 decision at 149. Peter Dwyer closed out the meet with a 3-0 decision for the Monarchs.

King's returns to the mat Thursday with a 7:30 p.m. dual meet at Muhlenberg College.
