KING'S WOMEN TRAVELS TO KEYSTONE FOR FINAL NON-CONFERENCE GAME OF THE SEASON

WILKES-BARRE --The King's College women's basketball team will play its final non-conference game of the year before placing its full attention to its remaining Freedom Conference slate when the Lady Monarchs travel to LaPlume to face Keystone College in the Gambal Athletic Center.

King's enters the game with a 11-3 mark after posting a big 70-55 victory over Eastern University on Saturday in a game that elevated the Lady Monarchs to sole possession of first place in league play. Keystone stands at 6-7 on the year but the Lady Giants have rolled to six straight victories after starting the year at 0-7. Keystone was a 52-50 winner over Rosemont on Saturday.

The Lady Monarchs have displayed consistent balance throughout the season as seven different
players have led the team in game scoring this season. Senior guard-forward Paige Carlin currently tops the squad with 12.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per-game. Senior forward Samantha Simcox follows with 11.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 3.1 steals. Junior guard Celia Rader adds 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and a team-high 26 three-pointers while junior guard Katlin Michaels contributes 9.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.2 steals.


Freshman center Marissa Manning averages 7.8 points and 4.6 rebounds while junior forward Lindsay Atchison posts 6.8 points and 3.4 rebounds. Senior guard Brittany Muscatell chips in with 3.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. King's averages 67.6 points per-game while yielding just 58.8 each contest.

Keystone, which starts four freshmen and one sophomore, is paced by rookie guard Jazmyn Robinson with 10.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. Freshman Alyssa Cuomo follows with 9.5 points and 3.0 rebounds with 19 three-pointers. Sophomore guard Tiana Cuttino adds 9.2 points and 5.2 boards while freshman forward Chantel Blake chips in with 7.2 points and 5.2 rebounds. Keystone averages 54.5 points per-game while allowing just 58.92.

King's will then return to action Wednesday with the first of its two big rivalry games with cross-town foe Wilkes University at 6:00 p.m. at home in Scandlon Gymnasium.
