King's Women's Swim Team Splits With Lycoming, FDU

WILKES-BARRE — The King's women's swimmers split a tri-meet with Lycoming and FDU-Florham Wednesday at the Wilkes-Barre Catholic Youth Center. King's defeated FDU 82-39 but fell to Lycoming  75-46.

Patricia Manning was the winner in the 100-backstroke at 1:18.00, as well as in the 200-backstroke with a 2:44.37.  Kim Brino won the 200-individual medley at 2:30.20 and was second in the 50-freestyle with a time of 26.88.

Caroline Fitch was second in the 1,000-freestyle with a time of 12:07.06 and was also second in the 500-freestyle at 5:45.90. Shannon Johnson touched second in the 10-freestyle at 1:00.93. Macawley Brown was second in the 200-individual medley with a time of 2:34.45.

King's team of Amanda Casey, Brown,  Manning, and Brino were second in the 200-medley relay with a time of 2:03.90.

The Lady Monarchs return to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m matchup with Albright College.
