KING'S WRESTLERS SPLIT AT PENNSYLVANIA/NEW YORK DUALS

WILLIAMSPORT — The King's College wrestling team split a pair of matches at the annual Pennsylvania/New York Duals Saturday at Lycoming College.

King's fell in its opening match 30-16 to Rochester Institute of Technology 30-16 before rebound with a 23-20 triumph over Oswego State. With the split, King's stands at 2-4 on the year.

Senior all-American Mike Reilly improved to 18-1 on the year with a pair of victories at 184. Reilly bested Tyler Brent of RIT 12-1 before earning a hard-fought 8-7 win over Oswego's Cameron Mills.  Shane Stark (9-2) was also 2-0 at 174-pounds. Stark gained a 4-2 victory over Nick Fuschino of RIT before pinning Eric Anderson of Oswego in 3:03.

Chris Mazzocchi (11-2) also won both matches at 149, tallying a pin of Adam Hugunine of RIT in 4:34 before winning 10-8  over Brendan Heffernan of Oswego. At 285, Peter Dwyer (8-2) was also a double-winner. Dwyer won his first match with a 3-1 decision over Nick Stewart of RIT before registering a 2-0 decision over Oswego's Kyle Sheridan.

Against Oswego, Aaron Perez posted a fall in 2:21 over Kevin Ramisun, while Zach Grey earned a 6-2 decision over Sam Farfaglia.

King's returns to Williamsport on Saturday with the Budd Whitehill National Duals at Lycoming College.
