KING'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO MISERICORDIA, 3-0
WILKES-BARRE — The King's College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting Misericordia University Tuesday night in Scandlon Gymnasium.
The Cougars won by scores of 25-19, 25-22, 26-24. With the loss, King's fell to 3-10 and 0-4 in Freedom Conference play. Misericordia, meanwhile, improved to 11-0 and 2-2 in league competition.
Elen O'Donnell led King's with 10 kills and four digs while
Mary Loughran added 21 assists and 17 digs.
Alexa Nelson followed with seven kills and two blocks while
Jillian Foster tallied 17 digs to move into a tie for ninth place in King's history with 1,051 digs.
Kelsie Kramer and
Molly Dahl chipped in with four kills apiece.
For Misericordia, Kat LaBrie led the way with 12 kills and four digs while Cailin McCullion followed with 10 kills and 13 digs. Meghan Stack dished out 26 assists with 11 digs while Kelly Swanson chipped in with four kills and 13 digs.
King's returns to action Saturday with the MAC Crossover matches at Alvernia University.
