KING'S MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO SUSQUEHANNA

SELINSGROVE -- Andrew Murphy scored a pair of goals as the Susquehanna University men's soccer team posted a 3-0 victory over visiting King's College Tuesday night in Selinsgrove.

With the win, Susquehanna improved to 14-2 on the year while the Monarchs slipped to 10-5-1.


The Crusaders built a 1-0 lead 23:23 into the contest when John Arnold scored off an assist from David Trank. Susquehanna took a 2-0 lead into the half-time break when Andrew Murphy knocked in a cross from Daniel Sosa at the 32:30 mark.

With just 3:31 remaining in the game, Susquehanna added an insirance goal when a Crusader shot hit the post and caromed to Murphy, who redirected the rebound into the net.

The Monarchs will prepare for next week's Freedom Conference Tournament when King's closes out the regular-season on Saturday when the Monarchs host cross-town rival Wilkes University at 7:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium in the Betzler Athletic Complex.
