KING'S MEN'S SOCCER PLAYS TO DOUBLE OT TIE WITH WILKES
WILKES-BARRE -- After 110 minutes, nothing would be decided in the cross town battle between King's College and Wilkes University. Neither team could must a goal as the teams played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie.
With the tie King's concluded the regular-season with a 10-5-2 overall record and a 4-2-1 Freedom Conference mark. Wilkes, meanwhile, ended its season at 5-10-2 and 1-4-1.
King's outshot Wilkes 18-5 and held an 11-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Monarch goalie Mark Labbadia made four saves while Wilkes keeper Dave Marr posted 10 stops.
King's returns to the field Tuesday when the third-seeded Monarchs travel to Dallas to play second-seeded Misericordia University in the Freedom Conference Tournament semi-finals at a time to be announced.
