KING'S WOMEN'S SWIMMERS IMPROVE TO 5-1 WITH 112-93 WIN AT LVC

ANNVILLE -- Patricia Manning won three events and the King's College women's swim team improved to 5-1 with a hard-fought 112-93 victory over host Lebanon Valley College Friday night in Annville.

In the Lebanon Valley pool, which is mesured in meters instead of yards, Manning captured the 200-individual medley at 2:36.89, the 100-backstroke with a 1:13.93, and the 100-breaststroke at 1:20.08. Caroline Fitch won the 800-freestyle with a time of 10:26.60. Rachel Jonas touched first in the 100-freestyle with a 1:06.52.

Kimmie Brino was second in the 200-freestyle at 2:23.40 and in the 400-freestyle with a 5:00.12. Macawley Brown was second in the 50-freestyle with a 29.94 and the 100-freestyle at 1:14.81.

King's 200-freestyle relay team of Brown, Shannon Johnson, Kimmie Brino, and Jonas won with a time of 1:59.95.

The Lady Monarchs will get little tome to relax as King's hosts Hood College Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gymnasium.
