With a new bleacher-system part of the college's $10 million expansion/renovation project, which includes a new recreation center connected to Scandlon Gym, the Monarchs are hoping for a successful home debut after winning the Pepsi Tip-Off Tournament at Susquehanna University over the weekend. King's (2-0) defeated Montclair State 61-52 in the opener before downing host Susquehanna 44-43 in the title game.

The Monarchs will face a stiff test against an Albright squad which has been a nemesis of the Monarchs in recent years. The Lions are also 2-0 after winning its own tip-off tourney over the weekend, posting a 67-66 win over Immaculata in the opener before defeating Moravian 85-74 in the championship game.  The teams have played seven games over the last six years with Albright each time, including a 87-60 triumph last year in Reading.

Sophomore forward Tim O'Shea tops the squad with an 11.0 points per-game average. Senior guard Matt Fiorino, who was named most valuable player of the Pepsi Tip-Off tourney, follows with averages of 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and has four three-pointers. Junior guard Kyle Hammonds, an all-tournament selection, also adds 10.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while making five three-pointers.

Freshman center Tom Heston contributed 7.0 points and 6.0 boards; sophomore guard Mike Foster tallied 4.0 points and 2.5 rebounds, while sophomore forward Keyton Winder chipped in with 3.5 points and 6.0 rebounds. The Monarchs have averaged 52.5 points thus far while allowing just 47.5 points in two games.

For Albright, Dave Singleton averages 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists while Zach Benjamin follows with 12.5 points and 5.5 boards. Kyle Jordan adds 12.0 points and 7.0 rebounds while Pedro Perez chips in with 8.5 points and 3.0 boards. The Lions have averaged 76.0 points after two games while yielding 70.0 points per-game.

After playing Albright, the Monarchs will enjoy a short Thanksgiving break before returning to the court Monday to host Muhlenberg College at 8:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gym.
