King's Wrestlers Headed to Gettysburg for Quad-Meet; Watch King's vs. Gettysburg on Live Video

MONARCH WRESTLERS TRAVEL TO GETTYSBURG QUAD MEET, FOLLOW VIDEO VS. GETTYSBURG

WILKES-BARRE — The King's College wrestling team will travel to historic Gettysburg to compete in a quad-meet against Messiah College, Penn State Beaver, and host Gettysburg College.

The Monarchs will open up against Gettysburg at 12:00 noon. Fans can watch live video of the match for free over the Internet at the following link:

King's will then face Penn State Beaver at approximately 1:30 p.m. before closing out the competition with 24th ranked Messiah at 3:00 p.m.  The Monarchs match with PSU-Beaver and Messiah will not be webcasted over the internet.

The Monarchs are currently 4-11 on the year and have been in the midst of a stretch where the team has been without a number of regulars due to injuries and illness.  Gettysburg is 5-9, Messiah is 10-6, while Penn State Beaver is 5-7.

Mike Reilly
King's is led by senior Mike Reilly, a returning NCAA Division III all-American (6th in 2011) who came back from the injured list on Wednesday. Reilly stands at 19-2 on the year at 184 pounds and needs three victories to move into sole possession of second place on the Monarchs all-time win list. Reilly currently trails second-place Jim Morgan (117) and third-place Kevin Lesoine (116) in King's records books. Mitch Marks holds King's career record with 144 wins.

Other top Monarch wrestlers include sophomore Chris Mazzocchi (16-4) at 149-pounds; freshman Shane Stark (15-4) at 174-pounds; and junior Peter Dwyer (13-3) at heavyweight.

King's will then return to action on Wednesday when the Monarchs travel to face Elizabethtown College in a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
