MONARCH GRAPPLERS GO 2-1 AT TRI-MEET, REILLY MOVED TO SECOND ALL-TIME AT KING'S WITH 118TH VICTORY

GETTYSBURG -- The King's College wrestling team went 2-1 in a quadrangular meet Saturday at Gettysburg College. King's defeated Gettysburg 27-18 in its first match before downing Penn State Beaver 52-0 in its second contest. IN its final meet of the day the Monarchs fell to 24th ranked Messiah 36-10.

King's senior all-American Mike Reilly went 3-0 on the day with a pin, major decision, and forfeit victory. In the process, the Monarch standout moved into second-place all-time at King's with his 118th career victory. Reilly came into the quad meet with 115 wins and surpassed third-place Kevin Lesoine (116) and second-place Jim Morgan (117) during the day.

Reilly, who returned to the Monarch line-up Wednesday after missing three weeks with an injury, improved to 22-2 on the year and 118-17 in his career at King's. Mitch Marks is KIng's all-time win leader with 144 victories.

Peter Dwyer went 2-0 at heavyweight for the Monarchs with a pin and decision. Nate Seals, Chris Mazzocchi, Gordon Custer, and Shane Stark were both 2-1 on the day.

King's (6-12) returns to action Wednesday when the Monarchs travel to face Elizabethtown College at 7:00 p.m.
