KING'S MEN'S TENNIS BLANKS KEYSTONE, 9-0

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis team made its second semester home debut a successful one as the Monarchs posted a 9-0 victory over visiting Keystone College Wednesday at Kirby Park.

With the win, King's improved to 4-6 while Keystone fell to 0-1. The Monarchs showed excellent depth in the match as coach Bill Eydler used eight different players in singles and doubles. Chris Cozzillio was the only Monarch to play in both doubles and singles, winning both contests.

Tim Carroll, Tony Bevevino, Jake Rohring, P.T. Romano, and Brendan Thornton were all winners in singles for King's. Cozzillio temed with Bobby Buttafogo to post a win at number-one doubles while Nick Conte and Matt Grassi paired up to win at second singles. The King's team of Andrew Panzitta and Andrew McMaster were winners at number-three doubles.

King's returns to action Saturday when the Monarchs host Messiah College at 11:00 a.m. at Kirby Park.
