KING'S BASEBALL RALLIES PAST PENN COLLEGE, 7-5
WILLIAMSPORT -- The King's College baseball team overcame a 4-1 deficit after seven innings with six runs over the final two frames as the Monarchs rallied for a 7-5 victorty over host Penn College at historic Bowman Field in Williamsport.

With the win King's improved to 7-9 while Penn College slipped to 7-5.

Trailing 4-0, King's began its comeback in the sixth inning when Chris Sweeney
doubled and scored on a single by Eric Bohem.

In the eighth, Tim Marchetti
and Cody Krupa both singled and Anthony Re followed with a run-scoring base hit to cut the lead to 4-2. Rob Lemoncelli reached base on an error to bring in a run and Mike Santiagio lofted a sacrifice fly to right field to plate Re with the tying run. Bohem then delivered a RBI double to give the Monarchs a 5-4 lead.

King's added two more in the top of the ninth when Brian Mikus
and Marchetti reached base on errors before pinch hitter Jared Turner stroked a RBI double to up the King's lead to 6-4. Re followed with a sacrifice fly to center to give the Monarchs a 7-4 lead.

Penn College cut the Monarch lead to 7-5 on a RBI double but King's relief pitcher Richie Bartumioli
retired the final two batters to preserve the victory.

Sweeney led King's
by going 2-for-4 with a double while Bohem was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Marchetti finished 1-for-2 with two runs scored while Re was 1-for-4 with one run and two RBI.

Bartumioli
pitched the final four innings for King's, allowing three hits and one run with three strikeouts.

King's returns to action Friday when the Monarchs host
Delaware Valley at 3:30 p.m. in the first of a three-game weekend series. King's will then travel to Doylestown Saturday for a 12:00 noon doubleheader at Delaware Valley.
