KING'S MEN'S TENNIS BLANKS ALBRIGHT, 9-0
READING -- The King's College men's tennis team swept the doubles competition to start the match, then finished off by winning all six singles bouts without dropping a set as the Monarchs posted a 9-0 triumph over host Albright College Wednesday in Reading.
With the win, King's improved to 5-8 while Albright slipped to 1-7.
Chris Cozzillio, Tim Carroll, Nick Conte were all winners in both doubles and singles for the Monarchs. Cozzillio and Carroll teamed up for a 8-1 triumph at number-one doubles while Conte paired with Matt Grassi for a 8-6 decision at second doubles. The Monarch team of Andy Panzitta and Brendan Thornton were 8-2 victors at number-three doubles.
Joining Cozzillio, Carroll, and Conte as straight-set singles winners were Tony Bevevino, Jake Rohring, and Bobby Buttafogo.
The Monarchs return to action Saturday with a 11:00 a.m. matchup against FDU-Florham in Madison, NJ.
