KING'S TENNIS INCHES CLOSER TO FREEDOM PLAYOFF BERTH WITH 6-3 WIN AT FDU
?MADISON, NJ -- The King's College men's tennis team inched closer to a berth in the Freedom Conference Tournament as the Monarchs posted a 6-3 victory over host FDU-Florham Thursday in Madison, NJ.
With the win, King's improved to 9-9 overall and 2-1 in Freedom Conference play while FDU slipped to 5-8 and 1-2.
Chris Cozzillio, Tim Carroll, and Tony Bevevino were all winners in doubles and singles for the Monarchs. Bobby Buttafogo also posted a singles victory for King's.
The Monarchs will host Misericordia Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Kirby Park. Should King's emerge victorious the Monarchs would clinch a Freedom Conference Tournament berth.
