King's Women's Soccer Falls 1-0 to Albright

Wilkes-Barre, Pa.-- The King's College women's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 decision to visiting Albright Saturday at McCarthy Stadium.

The games lone goal came in the 85th minute when King's (2-4-1) keeper Lauren Duguid challenged and stopped Stephanie Przybyszewski, but the ball trickled free to Erin Hand who put in the long shot for the unassisted tally.

Albright held a 12-3 advantage in shots and a 7-5 edge in corner kicks. Ivy Nulton and Michelle Spataro each put a shot on net for the Lady Monarchs.

Duguid took the loss in net making four saves including three in the second half to keep King's close. Kelly Burian made two stop for the Lions.

The Lady Monarchs return to action on Wednesday when they make the trip to Washington College for their first road game since Sept. 5. That game kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
