King's Men's Soccer Plays to 1-1 Draw with Marywood
Scranton, Pa.-- Freshman
Daniel Hernandez tallied his first collegiate goal as the King's College men's soccer tied Marywood 1-1 in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon.
The two teams played to a scoreless tie at the half. The Monarchs got on the board first when Hernandez finished a shot cross from
David Stroh at the 48:29 mark.
Marywood got the equalizer at 68:07 when Daniel Hull headed in a cross from Kris Kassel. Each team missed chances in the final minute of regulation and the game went to overtime.
The Pacers out shot the Monarchs 17-12 including 6-2 in the overtime periods.
Mark Labbadia made seven saves for King's.
The Monarchs return to action on Sunday when they host Marietta College at 12:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
