King's Wrestlers Fall 38-7 to No. 22 Delaware Valley in Metropolitan Action
Wilkes-Barre, Pa. -- The King's College wrestling team dropped a 38-7 decision to Delaware Valley in Metropolitan Conference action Friday night at Scandlon Gymnasium.
With the loss King's slips to 2-6 in dual meet action while the Aggies improve to 5-0.
Tommy DeSir scored a major decision for the Monarchs at 165 defeating Nick Della Fera 15-6.
Peter Dwyer also scored a win for King's earning a 2-0 decision over Michael Boardman at 285.
At 184 pounds Delaware Valley's Connor Gabriel scored a 7-5 win over
Shane Stark in overtime. Gabriel scored a take down in the second session to earn the three points for the Aggies. King's Christian Mazzocci wrestled NWCA No. 1 Emanual Ajagbe tough but Ajabgbe came up with 2-0 decision.
James Dugan earned a 5-2 decision over
Gordon Custer while the Aggies got pins from Dale Fava at 141 and Aaron Karns at 197. King's forfeited matches at 133 and 174.
The Monarchs are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Scranton for another Metropolitan Conference showdown.
