King's Women's Swimmers Split Tri-Meet With Messiah and Arcadia
Wilkes-Barre, Pa. -- The King's College women's swimming team split a tri-meet with Arcadia and Messiah Saturday afternoon at the Scandlon Pool.
The Lady Monarchs earned a 98-87 win over Arcadia while falling 160-41 against Messiah.
King's was led by a second place finish from
Patricia Manning in the 100 yard backstroke in a time of 1:06.52. Manning also teamed with Hailey Moorehaed,
Macawley Brown and
Shannon Johnson for a third place finish in the 200 medley relay.
Caroline Fitch scored a third place finish in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:55.71 . Brino finished the 50 yard freestyle in 26.87 good for a third place finish.
The Lady Monarchs picked up three other third place finishes on the day. Brown turned in a 1:00.63 in the 100 freestyle. Manning finished the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:15.48. The 200 freestyle relay team of Brino, Fitch,
Rachel Jonas and
MaryKate Bulger scored a time of 1:52.53.
King's returns to action on Sunday when they host FDU-Florham and Lycoming at the Wilkes-Barre CYC at 12:00 p.m.
