Lady Monarch Basketball Travels to Wilkes for Freedom Conference Showdown
Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – The King's College women's basketball team makes the short trip to the Marts Center Wednesday night to take on crosstown rival Wilkes in Freedom Conference action. The game tips off at 6:00 p.m.

The Lady Monarchs stand at 10-4 overall after defeating Marywood 59-55 on Monday for their fifth straight win. King's has a 3-1 mark in Freedom Conference play. Wilkes also brings a 10-4 record and are 2-2 in league play after a 77-62 victory over Manhattanville on Saturday.
The Lady Monarchs are hoping to continue the supremacy it has maintained over Wilkes over the last 14 years. After sweeping last year's season series, King's has won 28 of the last 29 meetings between the teams. Wilkes last victory over King's was a 65-61 win on January 29, 2009.
Senior guard
Katlin Michaels leads the King's offense with an average of 14.4 points, 6.4 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game. Fellow senior
Celia Rader adds 13.7 points per game and currently ranks eighth in the Division III in 3-point field goals per game with 3.08.
Lindsay Atchison adds 10.0 points and 4.9 boards per contest. Freshman
Jennifer Fabian has seen an increased role since the return of the winter break chipping in 5.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Senior
Molly Dahl notches 5.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Wilkes offense is paced by Elena Stambone averaging 20.7 points per game while also grabbing 4.9 boards. Megan Kamerski is also scoring in double-figures with 12.8 points per contest. Chelsea Brown has tallied 7.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
The Lady Monarchs next game will be a showdown with Manhattanville on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Scandlon Gymnasium.
