King's Women's Cagers Continue Freedom Conference Play at Misericordia


Dallas, Pa. – The King's College women's basketball team travels to Misericordia for a Freedom Conference showdown for a 6:00 p.m. tip at the Anderson Center.

The Lady Monarchs are 13-4 overall after a 65-41 win over Keystone in the final non-conference game of the regular season. King's boasts a 5-1 mark in Freedom Conference play. Misericordia are 9-7 overall following a 64-49 win over Penn State-Wilkes-Barre and is 3-3 in league play.

The senior guard tandem of Celia Rader and Katlin Michaels have led the King's offense this season. Rader paces the offense with 13.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. She has connected on 49 three-pointers this season and is just 35 points from reaching 1,000. Michaels adds 13.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest.

Fellow senior Lindsay Atchison is the third Lady Monarch in double figures with 10.8 points and 5.5 boards per game. Molly Dahl has stepped into the starting lineup adding 5.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Freshman Jennifer Fabian has provided a spark off the bench with 5.4 points and 5.6 rebounds.

The Cougar offense is led by Lauren Smicherko with 12.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Hannah Seeley chips in 11.7 points and a team-leading 7.4 rebounds per outing. Tyann McDaniel is the third Cougar averaging double-figure scoring with 10.3 points per contest.
