KING'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO ST. LAWRENCE, 3-0
WILKES-BARRE — Visiting St. Lawrence University handed the host King's College women's volleyball team a 3-0 setback Friday night in a non-conference matchup in Scandlon Gymnasium.
The Saints, who won by scores of 25-4, 25-10, 25-17, improved to 16-6 while the Lady Monarchs fell to 11-9 after their fourth straight defeat.
With a road trip to New Jersey City University looming Saturday, King's coach Bernie Kachinko elected to rest his starters for the first two games in order to give others on the team an opportunity to take the court. Most of the Lady Monarchs' starters played the third game only.
Kimng's mustered only seven kills over the course of the match with no player having more than one.
Sarah Busse had four digs while
Katie Senunas,
Tia Rex,
Eboni Chase, and
Aubrey Gryskiewicz all had three each.
Mary Loughran posted three assists and while Busse chipped in with two.
The Lady Monarchs travel to Jersey City New Jersey Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. meeting with New Jersey City, NJ.
