KING'S VOLLEYBALL POSTS 3-0 WIN OVER NEW JERSEY CITY
JERSEY CITY, NJ -- The King's College women's volleyball team snapped a four-match losing streak with a 3-0 victory over host New Jersey City University Saturday in Jersey City.
King's, which won by scores of 25-12, 25-21, 25-23, improved to 12-9 on the year while the Gothic Knights slipped to 6-21.
Jessica Carr topped the Lady Monarchs with 10 kills, one assist, and two digs. Mary Loughran followed with 24 assists, six kills, two service aces, and 10 digs. Emily Heimbecker had six kills, two digs, and one block assist while Alyssa Powell tallied four kills, 13 digs, and five service aces. Elen O'Donnell also contributed four kills and four digs while Sarah Busse tallied three kills, five assists, four aces, and 10 digs. Aubrey Gryskiewicz chipped in with 12 digs.
King's returns to action Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. home matchup against cross-town rival Wilkes in Scandlon Gymnasium.
