KING'S VOLLEYBALL DOWNS SUNY-MARITIME ON SENIOR NIGHT

WILKES-BARRE — The King's College women's volleyball team closed out its home schedule with a victory as the Lady Monarchs downed SUNY-Maritime 3-0 Friday night in Scandlon Gymnasium.

King's, which won by scores of 25-8, 25-14, 25-22, improved to 13-11 on the year and sent out upperclassmen Eboni Chase, Katie Senunas, and D.J. McCloskey with a victory in their final appearance in Scandlon Gym.

The Lady Monarchs blasted 18 service aces in the match. Senunas led King's with nine kills, six service aces, and 12 digs. Emily Heimbecker tallied four kills, two aces, and three digs while Mary Loughran dished out 19 assists with three kills, eight digs and four aces. Sarah Busse and McCloskey contributed three kills each while Chase chipped in with five digs.

King's returns to the court Wednesday when the Lady Monarchs travel to Center Valley to meet DeSales University at 7:00 p.m.
