King's Women's Basketball Hosts FDU-Florham in Clash of Freedom Conference Leaders

 
Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – The King's College women's basketball takes on Freedom Conference leader FDU-Florham on Saturday afternoon at Scandlon Gymnasium for a 1:00 p.m. tip.

The Lady Monarchs improved to 15-5 overall and 7-2 in league play after defeating Eastern 71-60 Wednesday night. FDU-Florham leads the Freedom Conference with a 19-1 overall record and a 9-0 mark in league play. The Devils scored their 18th straight win on Wednesday with a 65-60 win over Manhattanville.
 
Senior guard Katlin Michaels leads King's in scoring with 15.0 points per game. Michaels also paces the team with 6.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game. Michaels is 74 points shy of joining teammate Celia Rader in the 1,000 point club. Rader averages 13.7 points per game and became the 19th player in school history to reach the 1,000 point plateau against Eastern. Lindsay Atchison adds 10.5 points and 5.8 boards per game while leading the Lady Monarchs with 18 blocks on the season.
 
Molly Dahl scored a career-high 19 points against Eastern and now averages 6.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. Jennifer Fabian has stepped into the starting lineup as a freshman and contributed 5.6 points and 5.9 boards per outing.
 
Kyra Dayon leads the Devil offense with 17.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Leigh-Ann Lively adds 14.3 points and 3.8 boards per contest. Rachel Groom adds 9.3 points 5.4 boards per contest. Delisha Thompson  leads FDU with 6.8 rebounds per game while adding 9.2 points. The Devils offense adds 72.7 points while holding opponents to just 51.3. FDU has forced 433 turnovers on the season.
