KING'S WRESTLERS HOSTING 6TH RANKED CENTENARY ON TUESDAY
WILKES-BARRE — The King's College wrestling team will close out its final week of dual meet competition with two of the top-ranked teams in the nation. On Tuesday, King's plays host to sixth-ranked at Centenary College at 7:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gymnasium. The Monarchs then close out the regular-season Friday by hosting seventh-ranked cross-town rival Wilkes.

In Centenary, the Monarchs will face a team that is 10-3 and placed third in the Cliff Keen Division III National Duals last month. King's, meanwhile, is 5-9 after battling numerous injuries but come into the match on a high note after defeating Muhlenberg College last week.
The Monarchs are paced by junior
Tommy Desir who is 21-4 at 156-pounds. Senior
Peter Dwyer (10-3) missed the last two matches with an injury but hopes to return against Centenary. Sophomore
Shane Stark is 9-3 at 174 while freshman
DeMarquis Holley sports a 16-7 record at 141.
Junior
Chris Mazzocchi (13-5) has missed the last four matches with an injury but could return to the line-up. Freshman
Jamie Scarantino is 13-11 at 125; freshman
Ryan Longenberger is 12-12 at 197; while sophomore
Aaron Perez is 5-6 at 133. Junior
Ahmed Burton is 4-2 at 174 but has missed the last three matches with an injury.
The Cyclones are paced by three grapplers who are a combined 56-3. Junior two-time all-American Chris Burge placed fifth in the NCAA Division III National Tournament a year ago and is is 20-1 at 157-pounds where he is ranked second nationally. Senior J.D. Zitone was seventh at nationals last season and is 19-1 at 285 where he is currently ranked second in Division III.
Fellow senior Kevin Dufresne, a Division I transfer from Lock Haven, is 17-1 at 174 where he s ranked third in the nation..
Senior Owen Vernon is 17-4 at 165 and ranks ninth nationally; while junior Corey Vernon is 15-5 and is ranked ninth at 141.
