KING'S BASEBALL HOSTING ST. VINCENT COLLEGE, ADD TWO DATES TO SCHEDULE
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College baseball team will return to the field Monday when the Monarchs host the College of St. Vincent in a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader at Lipo Field in the Betzler Athletics Complex.

In addition, King's has added two dates to its schedule due to weather-related cancellations. The Monarchs will Penn State Schuylkill Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. and will also host Schuylkill April 24 in a 2:00 p.m. doubleheader.
Entering Monday's matchup with Mt. St. Vincent, the Monarchs stand at 9-5 on the year.
Senior outfielder Chris Sweeney tops the squad with an outstanding .545 (30-55) batting average with eight doubles, two triples, five home runs, and 17 RBI. Sweeney has 183 career hits and is 17 away from becoming just the second player in King's history to reach the 200-hit plateau. Sweeney's current total is the second most hits in Monarch history. Jon Venarchick holds the school-record of 227 base hits from 2006-09.
Senior outfielder Brian Mikus follows with a .364 (20-55) mark, including four doubles and eight RBI. Senior catcher Tim Marchetti bats .341 (14-41) with two doubles and eight RBI while freshman Anthony Lizzi stands at .326 (15-46) with two home runs, four doubles, and 14 RBI. Senior shortstop Rob Lemoncelli chips in with a .314 (16-51) average with five doubles and eight RBI.
