KING'S MEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO ONCE-BEATEN ELIZABETHTOWN 8-1
ELIZABETHTOWN -- The King's College men's tennis team dropped its first contest since its return from Spring Break as host Elizabethtown College put a halt to the Monarchs' three-match winning streak with an 8-1 triumph Sunday in Elizabethtown.
With the win, the Blue Jays improved to 8-1 on the year while King's slipped to 5-6.
Tony Bevevino was the lone King's winner, posting a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) triumph over Josh Riehl in the number-one singles slot. Chris DiMino dropped a tough three-setter at fourth singles, falling 6-1, 0-6, 6-4 to Cole Turula.
The Monarchs will host Misericordia Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Kirby Park.
