KING'S VOLLEYBALL BLANKS YORK IS KACHINKO COACHING RETURN

NEW YORK, NY -- The King's College women's volleyball team handed head coach Bernie Kachinko a welcome back victory in his first match with the Lady Monarchs following his return from a three-year retirement.  King's ventured to New York City and earned a 3-0 triumph over York College in the Lady Monarchs' 2013 season debut.

King's won by scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-18 for Kachinko's first win since retiring from King's following the 2009 season.

Emily Heimbecker led the attack with eight kills and seven digs while Mary Loughran added 20 assists, five kills, three service aces, and seven digs.  Freshman Jessica Carr contributed six kills and three digs while junior Kelsie Kramer tallied six kills and two digs.

Sarah Busse posted five digs and two kills; Aubrey Gryskiewicz added two kills, three aces, and four digs; while Elen O'Donnell chipped in with five digs, two kills, and one ace.

The Lady Monarchs return to action Thursday with a 5:00 p.m. matchup at Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit.
