KING'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO DEFENDING CHAMPION EASTERN
WILKES-BARRE -- Defending Freedom Conference champion Eastern University, the 16th ranked team nationally in Division III, posted a 3-0 victory over the host King's College women's volleyball team Wednesday night in Scandlon Gymnasium.
With the win Eastern improved to 12-1 on the year while the Lady Monarchs slipped to 6-3. Eastern won by scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-7.
Jessica Carr had six kills for King's while
Alexa Nelson added two.
Mary Loughran posted seven assists while
Elen O'Donnell and
Sarah Busse chipped in with six and five digs respectively.
King's returns to the court Friday with a 7 PM home matchup against Cedar Crest College.
