KING'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS HEARTBREAKER TO CEDAR CREST
WILKES-BARRE — Visiting Cedar Crest College overcame a 2-1 deficit by winning the final two games to rally for a 3-2 victory over host King's College in non-conference women's volleyball action Friday night in Scandlon Gym.
Cedar Crest won by scores of 25-22, 21-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-13. With the win the Falcons improved to 5-4 on the year while King's slipped to 6-4.
Jessica Carr led King's with 13 kills and 14 assists while
Alexa Nelson followed with 11 kills and two block assists.
Elen O'Donnell tallied 10 kills, 20 digs and two aces while
Kelsie Kramer registered 10 kills, two digs, and two block assists.
Mary Loughran posted 38 assists, eight kills, 15 digs, two aces and three block assists while
Sarah Busse contributed six assists and nine digs.
Alyssa Powell had eight digs and two assists. King's hurt itself with its serve return game as the Lady Monarchs committed 15 receiving errors.
Jessica Lobien led Cedar Crest with 17 kills while Celina Danish contributed 42 assists and 10 digs.
King's returns to the court Tuesday when the Lady Monarchs return to Freedom Conference action with a 7:00 PM matchup at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown.
