King's Women's Soccer Falls to Lebanon Valley

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. -- The King's College women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to visiting Lebanon Valley Saturday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium.

The Dutchmen jumped out early when Sarah Dowhower intercepted an attempted clear and beat King's keeper  Jessica Natale to make it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Sammy Bost added to the LVC lead with a goal at 29:09 giving the Dutchmen a 2-0 halftime lead.

The Lady Monarchs generated chances early in the second half with Ivy Nulton hitting the crossbar, but King's couldn't get on the board. Heather Tran and Lindi Crist each netted second half goals for LVC to set the final.

Lebanon Valley out shot King's 23-7 on the game as well as holding a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Natale took the loss in net for King's making five saves in the first half. Lauren Duguid played the second half for the Lady Monarchs making two stops.

The Lady Monarchs are back in action on Wednesday when they host Rosemont at McCarthy Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
