KING'S VOLLEYBALL IMPROVES TO 2-0 WITH 3-1 WIN OVER BBC

CLARKS SUMMIT -- The King's College women's volleyball team improved to 2-0 on the year as the Lady Monarchs posted a 3-1 victory over host Baptist Bible College Thursday in Clarks Summit.

King's dropped the first set 25-27 before rallying to win the next three by scores of 25-14, 27-25, 25-20.

King's was led by junior setter Mary Loughran
who dished out 33 assists while adding 18 digs, four service aces, two kills and 11 service points. Junior hitter Emily Heimbecker followed with 16 kills, 13 digs, and four service points.

Freshman hitter Jessica Carr added 10 kills and four digs, while junior back row specialist Alyssa Powell contributed 16 digs and three aces. Sophomore hitter Alexa
Nelson posted eight kills and four digs while junior hitter Kelsie Kramer checked in with five kills.

Freshman setter/defensive specialist Sarah Busse
registered seven digs, four assists, and three aces while senior libero Eboni Chase chipped in with 11 digs.

King's returns to the court Saturday with a 12:00 noon tri-match with Penn College of Technology and host Penn State Harrisburg.
