KING'S MEN'S SOCCER SECURES 1-0 VICTORY OVER SAGE
TROY, NY --  Niall Croke scored the game's lone goal on a penalty kick just 10:00 into the match as the visiting King's College men's soccer team forged a 1-0 victory over the host Sage Colleges Sunday in Troy, NY.

With the win, the Monarchs improved to 2-1-1 on the year while Sage slipped to 1-2-1.

The game proved to be a defensive struggle throughout as the squads combined for only 12 total shots with the Monarchs holding a 7-5 advantage. King's also held a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks but was unable to score during play.

Monarch goalie Mark Labbadia made four saves to pickup the shutout victory. Tim Madden made three stops for Sage.

King's returns to action Saturday when the Monarchs travel to Huntingdon to face Juniata College at 3:30 p.m.
