KING'S FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO FDU 2-0
WILKES-BARRE -- The visiting FDU-Florham field hockey team scored one goal in each half to post a 2-0 victory over host King's College Friday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium.
With the win FDU improved to 7-6 overall and 2-2 in the Freedom Conference. King's, meanwhile, slipped to 6-7 and 1-2.
FDU jumped out to a 1-0 lead with 23:15 remaining in the first half when Kim Davis corralled a free ball and scored from 10 yards out.
The Devils added an insurance goal with 6:24 to play when Jodie Crutchley scored off a feed into the circle by Katelin Leibner.
FDU outshot King's 13-7 while King's held a 14-12 advantage in penalty corners.
King's goalie Paige Tedik made six saves while Devil keeper Samantha Klimaszewski posted four stops. Â
King's will return to action on Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. home matchup against Albright College at McCarthy Stadium.
