KING'S FIELD HOCKEY EDGED BY WILKES-1-0EDWARDSVILLE, PA --- Jenna Skrinak scored the only goal of the game as the host Wilkes University field hockey team posted a 1-0 victory over King's College on Saturday at Schmidt Stadium.
With the win Wilkes improves to 7-8 overall and 3-2 in the Freedom Conference while King's falls to 8-9 and 3-3 in conference play.
After a back and forth first half where each team had four shots and no goals, Skrinak was able to score off an assist from Aliya Frankel with 11:45 left in the game.
The Colonels outshot the Monarchs 15-11 while both team had 12 penalty corners.
Paige Tedik had nine saves in goal for the Monarchs. Alexis Reed made six saves for the Colonels.
The Monarchs will close out its season on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. when they host DeSales University at McCarthy Stadium.
