KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO DELAWARE VALLEY, 1-0

WILKES-BARRE, PA --- The King's College women's soccer team fell to Delaware Valley College 1-0 Saturday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium.  

With the win the Aggies improve to 6-9-2 overall and 3-2-1 in Freedom play while the Monarchs dropped to 4-8-2 overall and 1-4 in Freedom play.

Nikki Dunlap scored the only goal of the game from the left wing in the first half off a long indirect free kick by Brooke Kitting at the 38:49 mark. King's had many quality chances to score throughout the game but was unable to get the ball past the Aggie goalkeeper.

King's outshot Delaware Valley 13-3 and held a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks. Jessica Natale made one save in goal for the Monarchs while Claudia Winters made four saves for the Aggies.

The Monarchs will next be in action on Wednesday when they host FDU-Florham at McCarthy Stadium in their final home game of the year at 4:00 p.m.
