KING'S WRESTLERS UNABLE TO PLACE AT URSINUS FALL BRAWL

COLLEGEVILLE -- The King's College wrestling team fielded a squad of mostly freshman and did not have a place-winner at the Ursinus College Fall Brawl Saturday in Collegeville.  No team scoring was kept.

Over 325 wrestlers competed in the event which include a handful of Division I colleges.

King's best showing came from freshman Matt Sparks who split his first two matches at 133. Sparks won his next four consolation matches before bowing out in the consolation semifinals. Also at 133 for King's, freshman Tyler Lutecki lost his first match but advanced through four rounds of consolations before losing in the consolation quarterfinals.

At 157, King's rookie Howard Kilpatrick lost his first match before advancing through four rounds of consolations, eventually losing in the consolation quarterfinals.
 
King's will next host the Pennsylvania vs. New York City Duals Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Scandlon Gymnasium.
