King's Men's Tennis Posts 7-2 Win Over Arcadia

KING'S MEN'S TENNIS EARNS 7-2 ROAD WIN OVER ARCADIA

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis team won two-of-three doubles bouts, then captured five-of-six singles matchups to post a 7-2 victory over Arcadia University Saturday at Kirby Park.

With the win King's improved to 10-4 overall and 4-1 in Freedom Conference play. Arcadia slipped to 6-5 and 1-3.

George Parkhurst, Stephen Brand, and Tony Bevevino were all winners in singles and doubles. Parkhurst posted a 6-0, 6-0 triumph in singles while teaming with Bevevino for a 8-3 doubles triumph. Brand was also dominant in singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory and teamed with Jake Rohring for a 8-3 doubles win.

Chris DiMino and Andrew Panzitta were also winners in singles.


The Monarchs play home against Elizabethtown Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
