KING'S MEN'S SOCCER REGISTERS 1-0 WIN OVER JUNIATA

WILKES-BARRE -- Kyle Willis scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with 15:15 left in the contest as the King's College men's soccer team posted a 1-0 victory over visiting Juniata College Saturday night at McCarthy Stadium.

With the win King's improved to 5-1 on the year while Juniata slipped to 2-4.

After a scoreless 74 minutes King's finally pushed across the lone goal of the game when Anthony Liddy delivered a crossing pass to Willis, who headed the ball into the net just inside the left post.

King's held a 12-6 led in shots and a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Monarchs also enjoyed a 9-2 lead in corner kicks
Monarch goalie Tyler Wilson made two saves while Juniata keeper Garrett Lavelle posted five stops.

King's travels to Wayne N.J. on Tuesday to face William Paterson University on a 7:00 p.m. contest.
