King's Volleyball Sweeps Cedar Crest 3-0 to Prepare for Saturday Homecoming Tri-Meet

KING'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS CEDAR CREST, 3-0

ALLENTOWN -- The King's College women's volleyball team used a balanced attack as 10 different players registed kills as the Lady Monarchs posted a 3-0 victory over host Cedar Crest College Thirsday night in Allentown.

King's, which won by scores of 25-14, 25-9, 25-16, improved to 7-3 on the year while Cedar Crest slipped to 1-10.

Kelsie Kramer topped King's offensively with eight kills while  Emily Heimbecker followed with kills and two digs. Sarah Busse totaled six kills and six digs while Mary Loughran distributed 30 assists with six digs. Katelyn Shifflett tallied five kills while Alexis Swagler contributed four. 

Alyssa Powell posted team highs of 10 digs and five service aces; Jessica Carr posted three kills and four digs; while Brenna Smudde chipped in with seven digs and two aces. 

The Lady Monarchs return to action Saturday with a 11:00 a.m. tri-meet against Purchase College and City College of New York on King's Homecoming day in Scandlon Gym.
