KING'S MEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS HOOD, 2-0FREDERICK, MD --- The King's College men's soccer team picked up a 2-0 victory on the road at Hood College on Saturday afternoon.
With the win King's improves to 7-3 while Hood drops to 4-4.
Niall Croke scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick at 42:20. The Monarchs kept their 1-0 lead until 71:50 when
David Stroh scored to make it 2-0 off an assist from
Kevin Hopkins.
Hood outshot King's 12-10 but King's held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Tyler Wilson made three saves in goal for the Monarchs. Henry Mills made two saves for the Blazers.
King's will next be in action on Tuesday when they will play host to Lycoming College at McCarthy Stadium at 7:00 p.m. The game marks a rematch of last year's NCAA Tournament First Round game won by Lycoming 1-0.Â
