KING'S FIELD HOCKEY BLANKS KEYSTONE 5-0

DALLAS, PA --- Freshman Brianna DiMaggio scored two goals and had one assist to lead the King's College field hockey team to a 5-0 victory over Keystone College on the second day of the Misericordia Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Dallas.

King's improves their record to 3-1 with the win while Keystone slips to 1-3.

DiMaggio began the scoring 12:41 into the game with a goal off of a rebound. Junior Alyssa Monaghan scored the second goal of the game at the 27:35 off an assist from DiMaggio to give King's a 2-0 halftime lead.

King's scored all three of their second half goals within a five minute span beginning when DiMaggio scored her second goal of the game at the 45:50 off an assist from sophomore Selina Malacari. Less than two minutes later at the 47:25 Malacari scored a goal unassisted. Freshman Dominique Oko scored the final goal of the game at 49:33 unassisted to give the Monarchs a 5-0 lead.

King's outshot Keystone 22-4 and had a 6-1 advantage in penalty corners. Paige Tedik and Chelsea Blaney split time in goal with each recording a save.  

The Monarchs will next return home to face Marywood University at McCarthy Stadium on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
