King's Volleyball Splits Tri-Meet with PSU-Harrisburg, Penn College

KING'S VOLLEYBALL SPLITS TRI-MEET WITH PSU-HARRISBURG, PENN COLLEGE

WILLIAMSPORT --  The King's College women's volleyball team went 1-1 during its tri-meet with Penn State Harrisburg and Penn College of Technology.

King's defeated PSU-Harrisburg 3-0 by scores of 25-19, 25-9, 25-9. The Lady Monarchs then fell behind 2-0 only to fall 3-2 to Penn College by scores of 25-20, 25-18, 19-25, 19-25, 15-13.

Against Penn College Alexis Swagler posted nine kills and two digs while Katelyn Shifflett had seven kills, five service aces, and four blocks. Mary Loughran dished out 28 assists, five aces and 12 digs while Jessica Carr tallied five kills and three digs. Elen O'Donnell posted six digs, while Brenna Smudde and Alyssa Powell chipped in with five digs each.

In the match with Penn College, Shifflett had 14 kills and seven digs while Carr posted 11 kills and seven digs. Loughran distributed 35 assists with 22 digs while Emily Heimbecker added seven kills and 17 digs.  Smudde and Powell contributed with 19 and 16 digs respectively. Kelsie Kramer chipped in with four kills and three digs.

King's will next travel to Penn State Hazleton Tuesday for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
