King's Volleyball Wins 20th Match for First Time Since 2008 with 3-0 Victory over Delaware Valley

KING'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS DEL-VAL, REACHES 20 WINS FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2008

DOYLESTOWN -- The King's College women's volleyball team wrapped up its Freedom Conference schedule with a 3-0 road win over Delaware Valley College Wednesday night in Doylestown

King's, which won by scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-12, improved to 20-7 overall and 4-3 in Freedom Conference play. The lady Monarchs also reached the 20-win plateau for the first time since the 2008 campaign.  Delaware Valley, meanwhile, slipped to 2-19 and 0-7 in league play.

In the first set King's jumped out to a 12-0 lead, then built a 16-4 advantage in the second set. In the final set King's led 10-9  but rattle doff the next six points to build a 16-9 advantage before cruising to victory.

Jill Korgeski led King's with 11 kills and eight digs while Alexis Swagler followed with seven kills and six digs. Rachel Miller added six kills, three aces, and seven digs while Kristen Bohnenblusch tallied four kills and four digs. Maddie Kumm dished out 27 assists with six digs while Brenna Smudde posted 14 digs and three aces. Elen O'Donnell and Aubrey Gryskiewicz had seven digs each while Kateln Shifflett had three digs

King's will close out its season Friday with a 6:00 p.m,. home matchp against Keystone College on Senior Night.
