KING'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS PAIR AT MAC CROSSOVERWILKES-BARRE — The King's College women's volleyball team dropped a pair of home matches at the MAC Crossover Meet Saturday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
King's lost to Hood College 3-0 by scores of 25-21, 27-25, 25-14 in its first match, then 3-0 to Arcadia University by scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-17 in its second contest. The losses dropped King's to 13-6 on the year.
In the opener,
Jill Korgeski had 11 kills and two digs while
Katelyn Shifflett followed with 10 kills and two block assists.
Rachel Miller added eight kills, 10 digs, and two blocks while
Maddie Kumm dished out 28 assists.
Brenna Smudde posted a team-high 16 digs.
In the second match
Kristen Bohnenblusch had six kills and 11 digs while
Jessica Carr also had six kills with three block assists.
Aubrey Gryskiewicz posted five kills with 10 digs while Smudde tallied 19 digs.
Olivia Musto chipped in with three kills.
King's returns to the court Wednesday with a 7:00 .m. matchup against Wilkes University.
